Shri Ji starts teaching free yoga at local temples, community halls, and volunteer homes, reaching ~300 students in the Maryland tri-state area.
COVID-19 response: Shri Ji forms a 501(c)(3) non-profit and launches a virtual platform — growing from 300 to 1,200+ students in the USA and internationally.
Platform expands to 70+ weekly classes with 30+ certified volunteer teachers. Kids Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, and specialty classes added.
In-person classes resume in Clarksburg and SSVT, Maryland. New Osteoporosis and Acupressure programs launched.

Fondly known as "Shri Ji" and "Shri Kaka," Shrikant Sabnis retired after 40 years in safety-critical engineering to dedicate his life to teaching yoga and spreading love and compassion in his community.
For over 12 years, he has conducted free yoga at temples, community halls, volunteer homes, and online — traveling 70 miles a day and growing from local classes to 1,200+ global students.
